A Hands-On Demonstration: Uniforms And Equipment Of The Vietnam War

Description

In this interview, two Veterans of D / 1- 5 Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division, discuss some of the uniforms they wore and equipment they carried in Vietnam. They describe each piece in turn, and then reflect on how they used it during their tour, frequently adding personal recollections to help illustrate the importance or utility of the item. They highlight the “steel pot” helmet, the uniform jacket and t-shirt, web equipment, canteen, flashlight, boots, and map.
