Busy First Quarter

The West Point Center for Oral History has finished a busy first quarter.  We recorded 23 interviews and posted 11 interviews on our page.  Our interviews covered topics as wide ranging Cyber Warfare, Women in the Military, the African American Military Experience, the Freedom Riders, World War II, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.  We interviewed Cadets, young Officers, business leaders, and a retired USAF General (USMA ’54).  Professor Michael Walzer, known as a political philosopher and for his book Just and Unjust Wars interviewed with the Center on the same day as Mr. Richard Duchossois, a WWII Company Commander and business leader in Chicago.

Next month, we plan on interviewing Vietnam veterans, political leaders, and some of the influential leaders in the cyber realm.  On April 28, 2015, the Center for Oral History will participate in the Board of Living Superintendents “Years of a Century Told” event sponsored by the Class of 1965.
