Camilla (Doe) May

Description

Camilla Doe May was born in October 1933, in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. Her father, Jens A Doe (USMA 1914), was born in June 1891. As a Cadet, he knew Marty Maher and marched in Woodrow Wilson’s inaugural parade. He and Camilla’s mother met at West Point and were married in Shanghai. During World War I, he served in the 5th Division of the American Expeditionary Force, earning a Silver Star and receiving a Purple Heart. He commanded the 41st Division during World War II.
