Dennis Rowe, USMA ’73, is the father of four West Point graduates, and the creator of an SAT/ACT improvement program for admissions candidates. In this interview, Dr. Dennis Rowe recounts his own West Point journey, as well as some insights from watching all four of his children follow along the same path. In the course of the journey, Dr. Rowe became aware of the critical need to help some candidates improve their standardized test scores as the single biggest discriminator in preventing admission. He developed a plan consisting of a set pattern of exercises designed to increase proficiency by using test conditions, all of which he conducted over the phone with candidates. The program has grown to dozens of people assisting now and hundreds of candidates have benefitted over the years.
