Celebrating 40 Years of Women At West Point

Description

On July 7, 1976, women entered the United States Military Academy with the Class of 1980, and West Point’s Women Graduates have been strengthening the Academy and the Army for the past 40 years. In this video, created for the 2016 “Athena’s Arena: Women Strong” conference, 15 West Point graduates ranging from the Class of 1980 to the Class of 2016 discuss their experiences, including the decision to attend the academy, R-Day, academics, military training, and athletics. They conclude by offering their thoughts on what West Point means to them.
